We’re seeking a leader who can bring vision to a community called to share the good news in one of the most beautiful places in England. We have mountains, sparkling water, lush green fells, and people who visit from all over the world. This is a place where one can and does have a spiritual encounter. Called to share The Way? We had a fantastic time last weekend at New Wine Landmark RESOLUTE youth weekend. There were around 20 young people from Ulverston that went. The weekend was all about being AUTHENTIC and it was great seeing God at work in those young peoples lives. One girl from Lancaster, who came to faith, said this on her Instagram message which summed up for me what God was doing “So today I’ve spent all day at #nwlandmark17 and honestly it was amazing! I was literally moved to tears by some of what people had to say and its been the most extraordinary experience – I was in a room full of strangers and yet I felt so loved and included all day and I can’t thank everyone enough for that. The power of Gods love is real people. #iamauthentic #livingauthentically.”
Thanks for all your prayers and support for me over the past month. The operation didn’t quite go to plan so the recovery is a bit longer than I was expecting. My energy and pain levels are up and down. I only did half the weekend and for the past couple of days I have rested. The plan is to go back part time from 15th May and be back full time Please continue to pray for my recovery. I praise God for all those who have kept a lot of the youth work going whilst I’ve been away. I’m constantly reminded that we plant and water seeds but its God that does the growing!!
Thanks again for your prayers

Thought for the month from Vic Sekasi, Furness Network Youth Minister
Hi! Welcome to the February prayer diary. When I was praying for 2017, I was thinking about the word, BREAKTHROUGH. Think for a moment about a situation you are facing in 2017 that needs breakthrough… When I read 2 Samuel 5:19-20. David asks God if he should go and attack the Philistines or not, and if God would deliver them into David’s hands. And God said “Go, for I will surely deliver the Philistines into your hands.” And that is exactly what happens! God is a God of deliverance! No matter what situation you face ahead or how long you’ve struggled and prayed, lets have faith that “It’s all about to change” and lets pray for BREAKTHROUGH. Think for a moment about what breakthroughs young people might need. Pray for the young people to see breakthroughs in their health, in their friendships, in their school life, in their families, in their friendships etc…

Thanks for your prayers for September. I’m not sure where the month went… I’ve just come back from a renewal retreat looking at identity and authenticity! Its so important we know who we are IN Christ and also that we are real. I know with young people they automatically see through you if you’re not being real!
Please keep praying for our two new interns. It’s such a privilege to work with them! They are already having such an impact on the work and bringing new ideas. I’m looking forward to seeing how they develop throughout the year and the impact they will have in individuals lives.
Also do pray for Saturday as we have our second ABLAZE NOW event in Penrith (a Cumbria wide youth event) and there’s over 100 young people booked on.
If you could pray for Tommy our previous intern. His dad has an operation soon. Message me if you want to know when.
All is well personally for us. We are settling into our new home. Mart is working hard on his photography and architecture. We are still overwhelmed by Gods faithfulness to us!
Vic has introduced two new interns this month. Here is a summary:
“Hello, my name is Thomas, I’m turning 20 in September. I come from a small town in Norway, and I really looking forward to meeting you guys. I really enjoy playing music, I play piano, guitar and sing, and hopefully I can teach you some of it. I chose to travel to England because I wanted to share what I have gotten, in such as my journey with God, or my experience. And I love to be around new people, to talk with them and help them in anyway possible.”
“Hi, my name is Henriette Marie Saga, but almost everybody just calls me Saga. I’m 21 years old and from a small town south in Norway. I love to have something to do and I really love sports, and my favourite is handball. I also like singing and dancing. I believe that this year will give me new experience and new friends.
I really looking forward to meet you all in England and to be able to spend this year with you all.”
